CAV Support Afternoon — Bereaved Mums Gathering

CAV is bringing together bereaved mums for a relaxed afternoon in Richmond — a chance to walk, talk, relax, connect and spend time with others who truly understand. Children are very welcome.

This Saturday, CAV is bringing together mums for a relaxed afternoon in Richmond, London — a chance to walk, talk, relax, connect and spend time with other bereaved mums who truly understand.

There's no pressure and no agenda. Just a safe and understanding space to talk openly, support one another, share experiences or simply enjoy being together. Children are also very welcome to join us.

CAV has also created a Bereaved Mums WhatsApp Support Group so that the support doesn't end after the afternoon. Even if you can't join us this Saturday, you are still very welcome to be part of the group. It's a safe space to chat, connect with other bereaved mums, share experiences, information and upcoming events, and support one another through the days when having someone who understands can mean so much.

DM CAV for details of Saturday's meet-up or if you would like to be added to the WhatsApp support group. You don't have to navigate this journey alone.

The Fatal Question Campaign

CAV supported the Fatal Question campaign by RAW Research. Brave mothers of knife crime victims, including CAV's own Katherine, shared their devastating stories to send a powerful message to young people across the UK.

In June 2025, CAV was contacted by RAW Research in connection with the Fatal Question campaign. Our own incredible Katherine, Kamari Johnson's mum, along with other courageous mothers including Kelly (Rhameeo West's mum), Leeanne (Ava White's mum), and Alison (Joshua Ribera's mum), all shared the devastating pain and loss of their children to carry this vital message.

Through unimaginable grief, these mothers found the strength to stand up, speak out, and try to save other families from going through what they have. StreetDoctors' message is clear: violence doesn't solve problems, it destroys futures.

Together, we must keep reminding young people that their lives are valuable, their potential is limitless, and there is always another way. CAV is proud to stand alongside these families and amplify their message.
